Mock Trial Competition Program Between the Faculties of Sharia, Law, and Political Science of Salam University
On Wednesday, the 21st of Aqrab 1404 (Solar Hijri), a competitive mock trial program on a “hypothetical criminal case” was organized by the Legal Clinic Directorate of Salam University. The event was held in the university’s conference hall with the participation of deans, department heads, instructors, and students from both faculties of Law and Sharia.
The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Sayed Obaidullah, a student of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, followed by the presentation of the event agenda by Enayatullah Mubarez, a student of the same faculty.
In the first part of the program, the student team from the Faculty of Law and Political Science competed, and in the second part, the team from the Faculty of Sharia took part. The evaluation was carried out by a panel of four instructors from both faculties, who scored each role based on the assessment sheets. The teams competed according to a pre-drawn lot.
Later, Professor Parwiz Stanikzai delivered guiding remarks, expressing gratitude for the efforts of the Legal Clinic and both teams. He emphasized that such programs provide an excellent and important opportunity for strengthening the practical and professional skills of students in the mentioned faculties.
Finally, Professor Abdul Hamid Rafat, on behalf of the judging panel, announced the overall results of the competition and the best-performing roles, based on the performance of both teams.
The program concluded with a supplication by Professor Abdul Hamid Rafat.
