In order to enhance the academic and professional capacity of the staff of Salam University and to strengthen their managerial skills, the Human Resources Department of the university organized a scientific seminar titled “The Role of Management and Leadership in the Professional Development of Employees.”
The purpose of this program was to familiarize employees with academic management concepts, effective leadership methods, and their impact on the growth and progress of academic and administrative institutions.
The program officially began at 11:00 AM. It opened with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Quran by one of the respected staff members, creating a spiritual atmosphere.
Then, Dr. Misbahullah Abdulbaqi, the President of Salam University, welcomed the participants and spoke about the importance of capacity building and the vital role of effective management and leadership in the advancement of academic and educational institutions.
He emphasized that healthy leadership, effective management, and coordination among members of an institution form the foundation for its success and growth. He added that Salam University is continuously striving to organize such programs to provide opportunities for the academic and professional development of its staff.
Afterward, Dr. Abdullah Sadiq, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Salam University, as the main speaker and presenter, discussed the seminar topic in an academic and analytical manner. He addressed the following key points:
Definition of the concepts of “management” and “leadership” and the difference between them
Characteristics of a successful manager and leader in educational institutions
The role of motivational leadership in enhancing employee morale and performance
The importance of decision-making, planning, and supervision in effective management
The impact of human-centered management on increasing productivity and professional growth
Dr. Sadiq, by presenting practical examples from administrative and academic experiences, was able to capture the attention of the participants and create an environment for discussion and exchange of ideas.
At the end of the program, participants shared their views about the seminar content, describing it as very useful, informative, and practical. They emphasized that such programs can play an effective role in increasing awareness, improving performance, and developing their professional skills.
In the final part, the President of Salam University expressed appreciation to the organizers and the seminar speaker.
The program concluded in a warm atmosphere with prayers for the continued success and progress of the professors and staff of Salam University.
