The first session of the training workshop on fundamentals of research for the students of economics and computer science faculties was held on 5 Mizan, 1402 HS. First, the workshop commenced with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran by Haseebullah, a student of second semester of Economics Faculty. Next, Mr. Nasir Ahmad Navidi, Head of Salam University Research Center presented useful and comprehensive information in his opening speech regarding the importance of research and its role in overcoming scientific and social problems. Then, Mr. Hedayatullah Qazi, the trainer of the workshop, presented the basic topics of research to the participants. He elaborated the following points:
1. Concepts of research;
2. Types of research;
3. How to choose the topic and the researcher's role in it;
4. Basic topics before starting the research;
5. And how to gather information and analyze it.
