Research Center of Salam University

Production of an academic content and research is the base of development of any academic field. In fact, the development of academic affairs, directing society towards progress, and quantitative and qualitative improvement of academic services in the various fields of education and contemporary technology to achieve high goals, welfare and comfort and well-being of society depends on the amount of research and efforts of researchers and scholars.  

Of course, every research center needs special models for making plan and developing its activities in order to be able to evaluate its current situation in the light of them, identify its strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, challenges and possibilities, and utilize the accessible resources and develop them so that it can direct its focus towards specific goals and aspirations accordingly.   

It is also clear that a university is the center of research, enlightenment of public opinions and putting the young generation and society on the path of progress.

Thus, Salam University has established a research center to serve as much as possible in the field of contemporary education and knowledge at the national and local levels in order to coordinate the research process of professors and students in the field of development of current education and knowledge at the mentioned levels.

This center was established and started operating in the spring of 2018 under the supervision of the Academic Vice-Chancellor of Salam University within the framework of the administrative organization of Salam University based on the decision of the Academic Board and the model professors of the University.

Currently, the Research Center of Salam University has a special cohesion committee consisting of the in charge and nine members.

In addition to the professors of the master's program, the other members of the Center are professors from the faculties, i.e. one professor from each faculty as a representative of that faculty.   

Biweekly, the committee holds a regular meeting and evaluates the activities.

Salam Research Center is determined to be the only dynamic research center as the core of academic and research thinking at the national and local level that moves upwards to improve capacity and quality, achieve high academic goals, develop welfare and comfort and well-being of community through conducting the research services, and turn into the source of service in this field. 


A: Specific Objectives:

Since its establishment, Salam Research Center has been trying to take firm and appropriate steps to achieve academic goals and to enhance the comprehensive capacity of the University and its related faculties, and to prioritize the following goals.

1- Improving research, academic and cultural processes in various fields, and boosting students' research skills.

2- Participating in the process of production of knowledge through research and innovative researches of professors and researchers.  

3-  Publishing the academic journal of Salam at a specific time with academic and research topics required by the academic field.

4- Publishing students’ academic journal with students' academic articles and research.

5- Publishing textbooks according to the curriculum of the relevant faculties of Salam University.

6- Launching  research on some important academic issues by students in order to awaken their talents.

7 - Evaluating the students' researches in the form of monographs and master theses to publish the useful ones to the society and the region.    

9- Playing an active role in guiding students in their monographs and theses and not withholding from good advice and counseling.  

10- Conducting academic seminars according to the social capacities and theological necessities.

B: General objectives:

1- Preparing the ground for standard research according to the needs of the society.

2- Advancing research and academic activities through the use of contemporary academic and technological skills for the academic, research and cultural progress of the country.

3- Providing the ground for utilizing new research initiatives and methods.

4 - Providing a suitable a atmosphere between scientists and researchers for the exchange of ideas, experiences and academic reserves.

5 - launching research in some important academic and useful topics to the society by the professors and then publishing them.

         6- Launching research on some important national academic topics and useful to the society by professors then printing and publishing them.

7- Participating in research and doing research on topics organized by regional and international research institutions.

8- Playing an active role in guiding students in their monographs and theses to play a valuable role in guidance, and not withholding from good guidance and counseling.

9- Carrying out research in computer science, natural Sciences and an engineer research besides doing research on social sciences according to the needs of the community and students for the research of new and unexplored topics.    

10- Turn into a well-known and reputable research center in Afghanistan in the coming years.  

11- Translating important academic books that are necessary and needed by the society, and serving our compatriots.   

 C: Ethical goals:

Of course, the protection of the moral process is a legitimate and reasonable principle that encompasses all aspects of human life and covers all areas of human life according to Islamic ideology.  

Therefore, the academic and cultural environment and the research process are not exception from this segment, and observing principles of ethics is necessary in this field as well.

By adhering to this principle in research fields, Salam Research Center by observing this principle in the field of compilation and translation considers the following objectives to be in accordance with its ethical policy:  

1-Making research efforts based on gaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty and serving the community.

2 – Having self-confidence.

3- Avoiding plagiarism.

4 - Adapting from the statements of others by mentioning the source.

5 - Quoting the sayings of others by observing the writing principles and mentioning its reference.  

6- Using reliable and trustworthy sources related to well-known academic personalities.

7- Observing literary chastity in writing.

8 -Avoiding disrespect for religious sanctities.

9- Using smooth and understandable method in conceptual restoration by keeping the boundaries of the original words and phrases.

10- Informing the original author for translation if possible.

Student Research

Salam University always encourages students to do academic research, and write articles in academic fields and social and cultural issues. Thus, Salam University has established Salam Research Center to publish students' articles in national and international journals.

Salam Research Center has established a journal called "Payam Salam".  This Journal is published several times a year, and only students’ articles are published in it.  In addition, students’ articles are also accessible on Salam website.

Salam Journal, Issue 11, Spring 2022

The topics of Salam Journal Issue 12, Fall 2022 It is our pleasure that this issue of Salam Academic Journal also covers a wide variety of contents, all of which are updates and discuss the issues according to the need of the time. The brief introduction of articles in this issue is as follows: The first research, titled “Islamic Jurisprudence as a Source of Law or as an Alternative for Law?" has been done by Dr. Misbahullah Abdul Baqi, Chancellor of Salam University. In this article, it has been discussed in detail that the existence of Islamic Jurisprudence does not dispense the country with the law because there are many issues that the laws should contain, which have not been discussed in jurisprudence, and there are some issues that have been discussed, but there are different opinions about, which either need to be preferred initially since the preference (Tarjih) has not been quoted, and there are some other rulings whose preference have been quoted but the basis of the preference has changed, which necessitates to rethink about the preference. Although the article is a little long, its importance convinced the Editorial Board to give permission to publish the complete article in the same issue. The second research, titled “The Way to Get Rid of the Acquired Unlawful Property” has been done by Dr. Najibullah Saleh, A professor of Nangarhar University. In this important research, it has been studied how to get rid of unlawful property if it comes in a person’s possession. This is an important issue that many people are facing with and need a proper opinion and ruling about it. The third research, titled “Reflection of Concepts of the Holy Quran in the Poems of Allama Iqbal Lahori” has been done by Dr. Abdul Sabboor Fakhri, A professor at the Faculty of Literature of Kabul University. He has studied a very important topic. He has tried to prove that most of the thoughts of Allama Iqbal are directly influenced by the Holy Quran. The fourth research, titled (Concept, Fundamentals and Principles of Criminal Politics) has been done by Pro. Mr. Abu Bakr Mudaqq, Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs-Salam University. It is about an issue that every country immensely requires in order to combat crimes. In this article, he made it clear that there is a serious need for a number of principles to determine the procedure of fight against crime and criminal, and these principles are called Criminal Politics. This research answers a number questions, which are: what is the concept of 20 criminal politics? How was it created? What are its principles and fundamental topics? In general, this research is a brief introduction to a new science called "Criminal Politics". In the English section, we have only one research, titled (Increasing Engineers’ Role in Construction Safety: Opportunities and Barriers) which has been done by Mr. Ahmad Naveed Rabani He studied a very important topic which is the issue of a trained engineer’s role in construction safety and preventing incidents, which often occur in construction projects. He discussed its importance in details. The articles published in Salam Academic Journal reflect the views of the authors, but the pages of the Journal are always at the service of esteemed authors for the publication of sound criticism of the published articles. وسبحانک اللهم وبحمدک نشهد أن ال إله إال أنت نستغفرك ونتوب إليك.
