The second season of the Salam University Futsal League came to a thrilling and exciting conclusion, showcasing the players' skills, team spirit, and efforts in a remarkable display.
Four of the university's top teams participated in the tournament, each competing to demonstrate their abilities through exciting matches. The support from the spectators and the players' determination further enhanced the beauty of the league.
The final match saw the "Ittehad" (Unity) and "Zmarayano" (Lions) teams face off, delivering a captivating game on Sunday. The Ittehad team triumphed with a dominant 5-1 victory over the Zmarayano team, claiming the tournament championship with pride. In this victory, Ittehad demonstrated that with strong determination and excellent play, every victory is achievable.
The memorable final match was attended by prominent figures, including the Head of Afghanistan’s Physical Education, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Waseeq, the President of the Football Federation, Mr. Yusuf Kargar, the Head of the Futsal Committee, Mr. Farid Ahmad Yousufzai, and Hafiz Ahmad Jan Zadran.
Before the final match began, a brief motivational session was held, starting with a sacred recitation of the Quran. Following this, the President of Salam University, Dr. Misbahullah Abdulbaqi, delivered an inspiring speech about the value of sports.
At the conclusion of the final, the tournament's champions were celebrated, with medals and certificates of recognition presented to the winning team. This event served as an excellent opportunity to motivate and support the players.
