Seminar on "Publishing in Reputable Journals: Choosing Journals, Indexing, Citations, and Academic Profiles" 

 

A scholarly seminar titled "Publishing in Reputable Journals: Choosing Journals, Indexing, Citations, and Academic Profiles" was held in the conference hall of Salam University. The event was organized by the Salam University Research Center in collaboration with its cultural department. 

The program commenced with a welcoming address by Baryalay Amarzay, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran by Professor Inamullah Rahmani. Subsequently, the president of Salam University delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of publishing scholarly articles by Afghan academics and researchers in international journals. He highlighted the critical role such publications play in the intellectual and developmental growth of Afghanistan, urging participants to prioritize this vital academic endeavor. 

The academic  presentation of the seminar, titled "Publishing in High Impact Factor Journals: Choosing Journals, Indexing, Citations, and Academic Profiles," was delivered by Dr. Abdullah Sadeq, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Salam University. Dr. Sadeq, an esteemed scholar with an impressive academic profile, has published numerous articles in prestigious national and international journals. 

In the closing segment of the seminar, Nasir Ahmad Noweedi, head of Salam University Research Center, expressed gratitude to all participants, particularly the guest researchers. He encouraged attendees to contribute their academic work to the upcoming National Conference of Salam University, scheduled to take place in February in Kabul, under the theme "Afghan Migration Abroad: Causes, Consequences, and Solutions."

The seminar was attended by over a hundred academics and researchers from various institutions. In addition to faculty members from Salam University, the participants included professors from Kabul University of Education, researchers from the Academy of Sciences of Afghanistan, academic staff from the Center for Strategic and Regional Studies (CSRS), and representatives of other scholarly institutions across the country.
