Ceremony Honoring Authors of Salam Academic Journal Issue 15
On November 7, 2023, the Salam Research Center hosted a special ceremony in the university’s conference hall to honor the contributors to Issue 15 (Volume 2, Issue 5) of the Salam Academic Journal. The event was attended by the university president, faculty deans, the head of Salam Research Center, and professors from various faculties, including Sharia, Law and Political Science, Computer Science, Engineering, and Economics.
The program began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Professor Ataulhaq Anas from the Faculty of Law. This was followed by opening remarks from Professor Muhammad Tareq Siyar, executive director of Salam Research Center. Professor Nasir Ahmad Noweedi, head of the Salam Research Center, then expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the professors who contributed articles to the journal, particularly congratulating those featured in Issue 15.
Professor Noweedi emphasized the journal’s rising prominence among Afghanistan’s academic publications, crediting this success to divine blessings and the tireless dedication of Salam University’s faculty. He specifically commended Dr. Misbahullah Abdul Baqi from the Faculty of Sharia for his notable article, "The Structure, Rulings, Quality, and Obligation of Shura", recognizing its significant academic contribution. He encouraged further collaboration to distribute the journal among policymakers, influential leaders, and officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The second part of the ceremony featured the distribution of certificates of appreciation and monetary awards to the authors, presented by university president Dr. Misbahullah Abdul Baqi and academic vice president Professor Abu Bakr Maddaqiq. These awards symbolized the institution’s recognition of the authors’ contributions to advancing academic standards in the country.
In his closing speech, Dr. Abdul Baqi offered valuable advice on effective time management and the importance of committing to academic and research excellence.
Issue 15 (Volume 2, Issue 5) of the Salam Academic Journal includes an academic introduction and seven research articles in Pashto and Dari. These articles provide critical analyses and practical recommendations for policymakers, further solidifying the journal’s reputation as a valuable resource for Afghanistan’s intellectual and academic communities.
