The Arabic Language Department at Salam University hosted a public speaking competition, facilitated by Qari Abdullah “Azizi.” The event began with a recitation by Qari Syed Irfan, a first-semester Arabic language student, followed by a welcoming speech from Professor Tariqullah “Makhawar,” the head of the Arabic Language Department. He extended greetings to the faculty, guests, and students in attendance and welcomed the participants of the competition.
Competitors spoke on their chosen topics across three different levels (first, second, and third semesters). The judging panel, consisting of Professor Shah Muhammad “Musayzi,” Professor Muhammad Hamid “Salih,” and Professor Ahmad Munir “Shirzad,” evaluated the students’ presentations based on established criteria and awarded scores accordingly.
Additionally, Qari Syed Burhan, a first-semester Arabic student, presented a beautiful Arabic song. Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Abdul Wahab “Hossam,” a faculty member at the Faculty of Shari'ah, shared his insights on the importance of organizing such events and competitions.
Throughout the program, the judging panel compiled their scores and determined the winners for first, second, and third places for each semester. Prizes were then awarded to the students by the faculty and guests present. The event concluded with a prayer by Professor Muhammad Hamid “Salih,” a faculty member in the Arabic Language Department.
