Quality Assurance Program of Salam University has been carrying out quality assurance activities since the beginning of the quality assurance and accreditation process of the Ministry of Higher Education, and it shares its activities with the Ministry of Higher Education. Salam University Quality Assurance Programs has been in contact with the Quality Assurance Department of the Ministry of Higher Education since 6/26/2012, when the accreditation process of the Quality Assurance Department of the Ministry of Higher education began aiming to implement some pre-requisites in quality improvement. Currently, Salam University has successfully completed the second phase of accreditation of this department and is in the third and final phase. The guidelines related to quality assurance activities and procedures for quality improvement of public and private universities determined by the esteemed Department of Quality Enhancement and Accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education are always obtained from Department of Quality Enhancement and Accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education, and in accordance with them, Quality Assurance committee of Salam University tries to implement them and made the necessary efforts In this regard. Thus, Salam University has been able to successfully pass and obtain the third stage which is the last stage of accreditation of the Quality Assurance Department of the Ministry of Higher Education.
In the beginning, this Educational and Academic Institution established the Quality Improvement Directorate within the framework of the Academic Vice-Chancellery, and then the "Quality Assurance Committee” has been established at the University level. It has been regulated by Academic Vice Chancellors according to the bill of Ministry of higher Education saying that the Academic Vice Chancellor of the Universities are the general managers of “Quality Assurance” of their educational institutions as mentioned in the structural and functional guidance of quality improvement programs of the Ministry of Higher Education. Then, according to the procedures and guidelines of the Department of Quality Assurance of the Ministry of Higher Education and the requirements for the first and second stages of accreditation, Salam University, in addition to having general committee for Quality Assurance, created sub-committees at the level of faculties, such as discipline committees, complaint committees, curriculum committees, academic research committees, e-learning committees, etc.
Activities of Quality Assurance Committees at the University and at the Faculty Levels
Salam University has Quality Assurance Committee at its level which is regulated by the head of the Quality Assurance Committee who is also the Academic Vice Chancellor, and is also controlled by the director of Quality Assurance Committee. In addition, each faculty has quality assurance committees at the faculty level, Such as the Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty of Engineering, the Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty of Sharia, the Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, the Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty of Economics, the Quality Assurance Committee of the Computer Science Faculty and the Quality Assurance Committee of Master Board.
Multiple evaluations, such as teaching quality evaluations and several types of internal evaluations administered. They are as below:
1- Evaluation of professors by students.
2- Evaluation of the University by students.
3- Evaluation of professors by the faculty.
4- Evaluation of faculty by professors.
5- Evaluation of lecturers by the students which is carried out by the lecturers themselves, and is called the lecturers’ own evaluation.
6- Evaluation of the curriculum and syllabuses.
7- Arranging the self-assessment book.
8- Annual monitoring report.
9- Reviewing the course of academic programs.
10- Analyzing and evaluating students' results ...
Salam University has been evaluated several times by the Ministry of Higher Education. In the evaluation of the 29 September, 1393, the second round of evaluation which was carried out by the Supervision and Evaluation Commission of the Department of Universities and Private Higher Education Institutions, Salam University received a good grade by obtaining 85 points.
