Salam University Legal Clinic organized a three-day workshop titled 'Family Arbitration' in collaboration with the Afghanistan Better World Institute (ABWO), as part of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences' series of events.
This workshop, held from October 15 to 17, 1402 AH, was specifically designed for students from law and sharia faculties. The event took place in the university's conference hall and encompassed various insightful sessions:
Day One: The program commenced under the leadership of Mr. Shamsuddin, a sixth-semester law student, with a recitation of holy verses by a fellow student. President Misbahullah Abdul Baqi expressed appreciation for the workshop and highlighted the importance of scholarly discourse. Honorable Najaf Rajaei, the vice president of ABWO, introduced the workshop's agenda. Professor Noor Agha Shoaib, the institute's head and workshop trainer, led a comprehensive discussion on family arbitration.
Day Two: Following Quranic recitations, students were divided into groups to address arbitration topics. Hypothetical cases were presented, and professors guided students on case details and relevant forms for family arbitration.
Day Three: The day started with Quranic recitations. Students underwent a post-test conducted by the Afghanistan Better World Institute. Teams presented their hypothetical cases before judges, and outstanding individuals were recognized for their roles as judge, verdict giver, defense lawyer, and witness. Salam University's leadership praised ABWO and received letters of appreciation, while certificates were awarded to university faculty, professors, and participating students. The program concluded with a prayer led by Professor Ataul Haq Anas."
