Job Summary:

The Lecturer in the Faculty of Economics will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to undergraduate students in economics. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, research, and service activities, contributing to the academic environment and mission of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching:
• Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials for undergraduate courses in economics.
• Create and manage course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate and grade student performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
2. Research:
• Conduct original research in economics and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
• Supervise undergraduate research projects and theses.
• Stay current with developments in the field of economics and integrate findings into teaching.
3. Service:
• Participate in departmental and faculty meetings and committees.
• Engage with the academic community through conferences and workshops.
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and academic programs.
4. Advising:
• Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them with course selection and career guidance.

Qualifications:

• Education: a Master’s in Economics degree with relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is highly desirable.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and inspire students; proficiency in relevant software and tools for teaching and research.
• Research: A record of scholarly publications or ongoing research projects is preferred.
