Brief Introduction to the Department of Jurisprudence & Law
The Department of Jurisprudence & Law within the framework of the Faculty of Sharia and Law of Salam University is a hands-on and productive department. This department officially started its activities at the same time with the establishment of Salam University in 2009. From 2012 to 1218, (726) male and female students graduated from the spring semester of this department. Approximately (55%) of these graduates have been working in various governmental and private sector administrations. The Department of Jurisprudence & Law has six permanent professors in its academic staff.
Students of the Department of Jurisprudence & Law study in three shifts. The curriculum and course outlines of this department have been revised three times by the department. Thus, it has the curriculum which is a standard, appropriate and in accordance with the bill of the Ministry of Higher Education. The subjects are classified into four categories (basic, professional, optional and university criteria).
The current number of male and female students of this department in the fall semester of 2018 reaches (702) ones.

The Department of Jurisprudence & Law within the framework of the Faculty of Sharia and Law is determined to be a model and pioneering institution of higher education at the national level in the fields of judiciary and attorney, teaching and research, and especially to be a standard and leading institution of higher education in educating academic and purposeful cadres in order to meet the judicial, educational and training needs of the country On the one hand, and adopts the moderate way in disputed matters on the other hand to direct the society in the right direction.
